OMB Recommendations for U.S. Agencies and Departments

On June 23, 2006, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memorandum M-06-16, outlining recommended actions for all federal departments and agencies to properly safeguard information assets. These recommendations, are in addition to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) checklist for protection of remote information.
