The panel, “Data Protection - It’s all About the Data”, takes place Wednesday, April 30, from 1:00-1:45 pm EST.
The panel, including representatives from Websense and Borderware, will discuss how attendees can protect their data in a world where breaches resulting in disclosure of personal data, theft of trade secrets and loss of competitive advantage are still very common. Passwords and biometric controls that restrict access to data are not effective in preventing the data itself from being copied or transmitted for nefarious purposes. The panel will discuss innovative technologies and best practices in use today to enforce data usage policies and enable new business processes for secure information sharing.
The Atlanta SecureWorld Expo panel follows on the success of a similar panel at the Houston SecureWorld Expo on April 24, 2008 at the George R. Brown Convention Center. This panel was well-attended and instigated a deep discussion on data protection strategies and will now bring those ideas to the Atlanta SecureWorld Expo attendees.
